Dusters Market Snapshot: Q3 2025 Trends & Competitive Shifts

Swiffer Is Still First — But the Lead Is Shrinking

Swiffer holds two of the top five SKUs, including the category's best seller — a Super Extendable Dusting Kit at $17.29 and 18.6% dollar share. Combined, those two SKUs account for 24% of category dollars.

But brand share declined every month through Q3 — 39.9% in August, 36.9% in September, 33.9% in October. A 6-point slide at that pace means Swiffer could lose its dominant position within two or three quarters if the trend holds.

Three Brands Are Absorbing the Share

Quickie climbed from 13.2% to 14.0%, Unger from 12.0% to 13.0%, and Harbor Breeze from 8.0% to 9.6%. Together they picked up roughly 3.4 points — more than half of what Swiffer lost.

Quickie's top SKU, a poly fiber extendable pipe brush duster at $11.62, sits at 6.8% dollar share. Unger's poly-fiber cob web and corner duster at $12.91 holds 8.7% — the third-highest individual SKU in the category. Both compete in the $11–$13 range, undercutting Swiffer's $17.29 best seller. Harbor Breeze's quiet 1.6-point gain is the kind of signal that gets missed in category-level reporting but shows up clearly in month-over-month tracking.

CRC Holds Steady With a Different Product Entirely

CRC's compressed air duster at $8.19 holds 10.1% dollar share — the second-highest SKU in the category. It competes in a fundamentally different use case, which means its 10% share is structurally stable rather than dependent on the shelf dynamics driving the other brands.

The category is more fragmented than it appears. Nine brands hold at least 3% share, with the "Others" bucket growing from 4.9% to 5.3%. Datavations tracks every SKU, every store, every sale across 11,936+ locations daily — the precision needed to see a 6-point share swing develop month by month.
